How to Mount Your Spare Air on Your BC
Each Spare Air package includes a holster making it easy to attach your Spare Air to your BCD. With just 2 simple clicks, Spare Air can be mounted to your BC and you're ready to go diving!
Using the covered holster included in your Spare Air package, mounting is quick and easy, and keeps Spare Air close at hand—yet you don't even know you're wearing it.

Spare Air 170 Holster
The Spare Air 170 Package includes a sized Holster (PN: 971) with two quick release straps.
Spare Air 300 Holster
The Spare Air 300/300-N Package includes a sized Holster (PN: 973) with two quick release straps.
Spare Air 600 Holster
The Spare Air 600 Package includes a sized Holster (PN: 976) with two quick release straps for mounting.
Mounting Options for Models 170, 300 & 300-N
Depending on your equipment and the way it is set up, you can mount Spare Air anywhere that is most convenient for you. Choose from these popular mounting configurations:
1. Shoulder Mount
Configuration: Attach top holster strap to shoulder strap and bottom holster strap to D-ring.
Best For: Quick access and visibility. Popular with recreational divers who want Spare Air within easy reach.
2. D-Ring Mount
Configuration: Attach bottom holster strap to tank strap and top holster strap to D-ring.
Best For: Secure mounting that keeps Spare Air close to your body without interfering with other equipment.
3. Tank Mount
Configuration: Thread tank strap through holster mounting strap sewn to back of holster. Holster quick-disconnect straps are not used.
Note: Some stitching may need to be carefully removed to accommodate broader tank straps.
Best For: Streamlined profile and keeping Spare Air out of the way during technical dives or wreck penetration.
4. Extra Weight Belt Mount
Configuration: Attach holster straps to a weight belt not being used for buoyancy adjustment.
Best For: Divers who want an independent mounting system or have an old weight belt no longer used for buoyancy.

Mounting Options for Models 600 & 600-N
The new Spare Air 600 Holster is designed like the smaller 3 cu ft model and uses two clips that easily connect your Spare Air to any BCD strap and D-rings. Mount your Spare Air where you want it so it can be there when you need it.
1. High Shoulder D-Ring Mount
Configuration: Attach top holster clip to shoulder strap and bottom holster clip to D-ring.
Best For: Maximum accessibility and quick deployment in emergencies.
2. Low Shoulder D-Ring to D-Ring Mount
Configuration: Slip the Velcro holster strap through the cummerbund on BC between shoulder strap and bladder.
Best For: Lower profile mounting that stays out of the way while remaining accessible.
3. D-Ring to D-Ring Across Waist Mount
Configuration: Use clips to attach to any two D-rings on BC across your waist.
Important: Do not use this configuration when taking BCD off before exiting the water.
Best For: Balanced weight distribution and keeping Spare Air centered on your body.
4. Tank Mount
Configuration: Thread tank strap through holster mounting strap sewn to back of holster. Holster quick-disconnect straps are not used.
