Make the three key choices.

01 / 3 or 6 cu ft

The 6 cu ft cylinder has twice the air capacity of the 3 cu ft cylinder. It is offered with the mask and waist-strap holster configuration.

02 / Nose clip or mask

A nose clip closes the nostrils while you breathe through the mouthpiece. The scuba mask covers the eyes and nose; it is not a full-face breathing mask.

03 / Waist strap or Velcro

The waist-strap holster is worn around the waist. The Velcro-backed holster attaches to a compatible mounting surface.

Available combinations.

Capacity Configuration Holster choices
3 cu ft Nose clip Waist strap or Velcro-backed

Professional users on Spare Air

Backup air. Firsthand experiences.

These published accounts describe Spare Air in rescue-diving and recovery work, rather than the Industrial Safety package or a hazardous-air escape.

“2 weeks ago we made Spare Air a standard piece of equipment to carry even though the 6 of us have been carrying our own bottles for years.”

T.R. · British Columbia, CanadaFirefighter / rescue diver, following a water-rescue and recovery incident.

“The filling systems that attach to the SCUBA bottles are of great help to us in the idea that we can refill the systems on the scene from our own air bottles.”

Jeffrey R.Director, Daviess County Search and Rescue Service, Inc.; rescue-team evaluation of Spare Air.

A few things to know.

Is a refill adapter included?

A refill adapter is included only when selected. The product page offers the compatible air-compressor and yoke SCUBA-tank options.

How should we choose a configuration for our team?

Consider cylinder capacity, where the package will be carried, mask requirements, and the filling equipment available. Contact our team to discuss the intended application and mounting setup.

How long will the air last?

Air consumption varies with the user’s breathing rate, exertion, fill pressure, and conditions. Review the product specifications and operating instructions as part of your workplace emergency plan.
