Traveling with Spare Air

Yes! Empty Spare Air units are permitted in carry-on or checked baggage when completely depressurized and the regulator is removed. The cylinder must be open for visual inspection. Airline and destination restrictions may apply.

Prepare for air travel

  1. Completely depressurize the cylinder.
  2. Remove the regulator following your owner’s manual. Do not force it or use tools if it will not unscrew.
  3. Keep the regulator components together and protect the threads from damage and dirt.
  4. Pack the cylinder so its empty interior can be inspected.

Travel Pack 963 fits the 3 cu ft unit; Travel Pack 966 fits the 6 cu ft unit.

At your destination

Inspect and reassemble the unit exactly as shown in your owner’s manual, then refill using the correct adapter. Do not use a leaking or damaged unit; contact us for service.
